It meets China’s latest 2026 standard

Baseus has officially announced that it is now taking pre-orders for what it calls the “first safe aerospace-grade power bank”, the Baseus Card Magnetic Air, priced at 299 yuan ($43).

Safety testing and compliance with the 2026 Chinese standard

The power bank complies with China’s latest 2026 standard and has undergone a wide range of tests, including needle-penetration testing, gravity compression, and extreme-temperature trials. It can withstand compression of up to 2 tonnes and will not catch fire after three needle punctures.

Design, colours and thermal management

It is offered in three colours - silver, black, and sky blue - and measures just 6.9 mm thick. It uses what Baseus describes as the world’s first Glacier temperature-control technology, which increases the heat-dissipation area by 50%. It also adopts new solid–liquid hybrid battery cells that meet the national standard.

In addition, it supports tap-to-view battery status via NFC.

Charging features: 22.5 W wired mode and up to 60 W output

The power bank also includes a sensor paired with an AI algorithm. When a phone is magnetically attached to the power bank and connected to a charging cable, it automatically enables wired charging at a maximum power of 22.5 W. Moreover, when connected to a higher-power adaptor or power bank, it can reach a maximum output power of 60 W.

New mandatory national standard for portable charging devices

On Wednesday, 2 April, China introduced the first mandatory national standard, “Technical Safety Specifications for Portable Charging Devices”. These standards were jointly developed with the China Electronics Technology Standardisation Institute and 30 leading companies, including Huawei, CATL, Lenovo, Xiaomi, OPPO, Anker, Ugreen, and others.
