Xiaomi has unveiled the Mijia Ironing Machine 2 - a new steam ironing station designed for home use. The device has already appeared on the Youpin platform, with the crowdfunding campaign set to begin on 6 April. The new model is priced at $90, while campaign participants can get it for $75.

The Mijia Ironing Machine 2 relies on a steam-based ironing system and, according to Xiaomi, is ready to use just 65 seconds after being switched on. Steam output reaches 120 g/min, and the electromagnetic pump delivers 500 kPa of pressure - a combination intended to smooth fabrics more effectively.

A colour screen is built in, making it quick to switch between six dedicated ironing modes. There is also a transparent indicator so you can visually check the liquid level.

Xiaomi says a single tank of water is enough to iron up to 15 items of clothing in one session.

Also today, Xiaomi introduced very inexpensive fridges, a budget washing machine with a 10 kg laundry capacity, and smart curtains with separate control for the left and right sections.
