The key feature is the “dual water output” system. The upper tap delivers purified drinking water (which, the company notes, is suitable even for babies), while the lower tap is intended for deeply filtered water for everyday household use. Xiaomi emphasises that the two channels are physically separated to prevent the two flows from mixing.
Filtration performance and filter lifespan
According to Xiaomi, the purifier achieves filtration accuracy down to 0.0001 microns. The company says the system can remove up to 145 types of contaminants, filter out 99.9% of heavy metals, and also eliminate 99% of PFAS and PFOA-substances often classed as particularly difficult-to-remove pollutants.
The reverse osmosis filter is rated for a service life of 8 years, with a maximum volume of purified water reaching 29 tonnes. In addition, the purifier includes a combined pre-filter for sand, dirt, and suspended solid particles.
Smart home integration
The Xiaomi Mijia Water Purifier 2 Pro Dual Water Output 1600G integrates with the brand’s smart home ecosystem. Using the companion app, users can monitor water quality and consumption in real time, as well as set the dispensing volume and configure the water outlet modes.
