Xiaomi launches Mijia Washing Machine Drum 10Kg Ultra-Thin Fully Embedded with 3-year warranty and 10-year motor cover

Xiaomi has unveiled the Mijia Washing Machine Drum 10Kg Ultra-Thin Fully Embedded, a new washing machine designed for fully built-in installation. The model is already listed on JD.com for 1199 yuan (175 dollars).

Built-in design and load capacity

The new unit has a body depth of 516 mm, intended to make it easier to fit into kitchen or utility-room recesses. Maximum load is rated at 10 kg.

Drum size, programmes and stain handling

It comes with a 525 mm diameter drum and offers 24 wash programmes. Xiaomi says it can tackle 35 types of stubborn stains.

Xiaomi Pengpai ecosystem, app control and Xiao Ai automation

The washing machine supports the Xiaomi Pengpai ecosystem and can be controlled via the company’s mobile app and/or Xiaomi smart speakers. Integration with other smart-home devices is also claimed: once a cycle finishes, Xiao Ai can instruct a tumble dryer or drying rack to lower, and can automatically switch on lighting in the bathroom or kitchen to make unloading easier.

Xiaomi also introduced two very low-cost refrigerator models today.
